Transport for the South East's Centre of Excellence has been live for a week today!
Thank you to those that were able to attend the Centre of Excellence Launch at Broadway House on 18 June.
A training session on Business Case Development was given by Josie Drath. We were also joined by Lucy Saunders, who provided officers with training on how to create and maintain Healthy Living Streets.

Future Drop-in Sessions
We are creating bespoke content for the site in response to LTA officers' answers to the capability survey. One of LTA officers' top priorities was business case development, so we are developing training sessions and surgeries on this topic. At the Launch Event, Josie Drath took attendees through how to successfully plan for the Business Case Development process and asked for recommendations for future drop-in sessions.

Case studies with relevant examples to provide guidance and lessons learned for LTAs.
A guidance document on preparing for the impacts of climate change.
Resources and tools to help LTAs increase sustainability and quantify carbon reductions.
Securing DCOs
A resource outlining the DCO process and what LTAs shouldexpect if they become involved in one. This will include handy links, tips and tricks, key definitions, timescales and guidance on how much resource and effort you can expect to outlay. This resource will be supplemented by two case studies showcasing real-life experience of securing DCOs from West Sussex County Council and Kent County Council.
How to get involved
If you think your authority is excelling in something, or you can offer peers lessons learned, get in touch and we can create a case study. If you have a framework that your authority uses, that other authorities are able to sign up to and use, please let us know and we can include it within our procurement component.
